What is a pre-listing appraisal and should I get one before selling?
A pre-listing appraisal is ordered by a homeowner before listing to get an independent market value from a licensed appraiser. It helps set a supportable price, especially for rural homes, acreage or homes with few comparable sales, and can surface square-footage or condition issues before the buyer's lender appraisal. See our pre-listing appraisal page at /pre-listing-appraisal/.
